Albania participated in the inaugural edition of Eurasia Music Competition. The Albanian broadcaster, Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH), has been the organizer of the Albanian Eurasian entry since the nation debut in the contest.
Albania hosted the 1st edition of Eurasia Music Competition after being announced on 24th November, during a Press Conference of Eurasian Broadcasting Union (EBU).
After a failure in Eurasia 01' RTSH, decided to withdraw from 02' edition. RTSH decided to return to the competition after 5 editions. Albania won in Kiev with Elvana Gjata and "Me Tana" scoring the highest amount of points. RTSH confirmed that Tirana would host again the competition, being the 1st nation to host for the 2nd time the competition before edition 7. Arilena Ara defended the trophy in Eurasia 07' Tirana and won it.
